Mr. Nicholas Morgan
Technical Operations Manager, World
Sport Television
Nick Morgan entered into an
audio career in 1981 in New Zealand as a live sound mixer for various
contemporary pop bands of the time, touring with many local and oversees
acts. In 1982 he moved to the recording studio and spent over ten years
recording and mixing local and international acts which included such
distinguished artists as Crowded house, Tim Finn, Kiri Te Kanawa and INXS.
In 1985 between music projects, he
worked in both radio and TV commercial production and produced several
corporate docos. This began his entry into broadcasting audio
post-production and the gradual transition from popular analogue technology
to digital non- linear platforms. His increased knowledge of the broader
media industry led him to become involved in aspects of both technical
engineering and facility design and operations, and he also ran several
tertiary courses at leading NZ polytechnics.
Since arriving in Singapore in
early 1999, Nick has worked as Technical Operations Manager for the both the
Sony action channel AXN and in his current role within the World Sport
Group, where he heads up the Technical Operations side of the groups
international television operations based at its Singapore headquarters at
World Sport Television. |
