Coming from a diverse background,
the presenter was probably better know in the audio industry as the pioneer
in setting up a company dealing with Music Technology way back in the late
eighties. Then called Para-DI Promotions located in Sim Lim Square, the
company deals with sequencing software, MIDI interfaces as well as MIDI
related peripherals and solutions for making music. When the first computer
hard disk recorder system was announced by Digidesign (Sound Tools),
Raymond introduced it into
Singapore within the first month of release. From then on, the company has
been involved in the evolving Digital Audio Workstation market, and
Raymond has introduced many Singapore & regional studios into the world
of Digital Audio Workstation.
Raymond has worked as a
full-time musician for 7 years, and upon completing his degree in
Maths & Computing in the UK, he
worked in the IT industry for 10 years in various position ranging from
software developer to management of the IS department of the company.
