Secretary (Term 2000/2001)
The Master-of-Ceremonies for the night was Mr. Bob Wong. After a brief welcome, guests and members were invited to savour the delectable buffet spread. The easy-going atmosphere contributed to active networking for the new and a reunion for the seasoned. Sharing his own personal experiences and the value of being able to function within and among like-minded individuals, he introduced AES Singapore Section and AES International as a community that serious audio professionals would want to be a part of. A lovely and quirky greeting, from MTV Singapore’s video DJ Donita Rose, then followed the secretary’s report. The guests were then treated to a nostalgic video presentation Down Memory Lane documenting the AES Singapore Section’s growth since its inception. Both presentations were produced by Mr Kenneth J Delbridge. The honorary Advisor, Mr Jibby Jacob, then delivered a message from AES Vice-President, International Region, Dr Rhonda Wilson. She congratulated AES Singapore on their 7th Annual General Meeting and commended the section, once again, on its activities and good organisation. She looked forward to the new committee and more activities, particularly the coming seminar during the PALA convention in July. Mr Robert Soo, Chairman AES Singapore Section, then presented the opening address and the Chairman’s report for the Term 2000/2001.
